 Yep, that's me!

____________________________________________________
I was happily living in Germany and working as a primary school teacher until I was 33 years of age.
Back then travelling was one of my hobbies. Another one was drawing small pictures with abstract patterns in Indian ink (see my Drawings Gallery). ____________________________________________________

One of my journeys brought me to Australia for six weeks, and that is when fate changed
my life dramatically: I met my then future husband Mick. After three years of flying back and forth and having to pay for huge phonebills, we decided to get married. So now I live on the opposite side of the globe. _______________________________________________

As I felt that I had done enough teaching, I studied accounting for six years in evening school whilst working during the day, which unfortunately did not leave any time for a creative hobby.
In July 2002 I started quilting (or should I say patchworking, because I am not much of a quilter). All the instructions that I needed to start, I found on the internet. Also from the internet I have copied hundreds
of quilts into Microsoft Word documents, so that I can study them at my leisure.

My favourites are scrap quilts. I make all my own quilt designs. Even my very first quilt was designed by myself, which was a sampler (how could it be otherwise!).
I hope you will enjoy my webpage and find some of the links useful.
